Connect to Learn promotes access to secondary education for young children with a focus on girls that are exposed to HIV/AIDS, forced marriage, or violence. A joint partnership organized by the Earth Institute at Columbia University, Ericsson, and the Millennium Promise, Connect to Learn is a global initiative that supports 762 scholars in 10 African countries through a network of technology and nonprofit partners in the public and private sectors. Initially introduced in the Millennium Villages Project (MVP) , Connect to Learn is organized around a community-led framework that complements the interconnected challenges of theSustainable Development Goals( SDGs ). The initiative provides financial assistance, communications technologies that support online learning, and educational resources to enhance economic opportunities to help lift families out of poverty.
