Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
Rising global temperatures wreak havoc on the planet causing sea levels to rise, melting snowpack, and reduction in polar ice cap surface area. These outcomes are cataclysmic for global populations especially those residing in coastal areas and island nations. Poor climate action management and unregulated business practices cause economies to suffer from increased emissions of greenhouse gases and a rise in surface temperatures. Sustainable climate practices require international cooperation and participation among countries to enter the Paris Agreement to ensure success in reaching the Sustainable Development Goals.

Developed and developing nations are equally exposed to the threat posed by inaction on climate change initiatives. Catastrophic outcomes from severe weather are caused by an increase in global temperatures and greenhouse gases. These factors threaten a reversal of the sustainable development progress already achieved. Better approaches to energy consumption and production, transport, food, agriculture, and forestry management are required through introduction of innovative technologies and conservation measures.
