Donating Smartphones to Ghana’s Community Health Workers Initiative

New York—Philanthropist Jennifer Stengaard Gross , founder of Blue Chip Foundation, donated 5,000 smartphones to Ghana’s president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the International Conference onSustainable Developmentat Columbia University in New York City for the Community Health Workers initiative. The phones, part of a pioneering national Health program designed to strengthen the country’s healthcare strategy—Community Based Planning and Services, or CHPS enables communication and real-time data flow, improving universal healthcare coverage in rural, Ghana.
