Strong Institutions for Peace

Promote just, peaceful and inclusive societies

Inclusive frameworks of peace and justice are supported by legislation that guarantees basic human rights for every citizen. Regulations must be introduced with a design toward reducing loopholes that facilitate corruption and bribery. Effective policies that protect and support the most vulnerable populations are essential for prohibiting human rights abuses , human trafficking, and sexual violence.

Strong institutions

Why It Matters

Achieving the Sustainable development Goals (SDGs) depends on the elimination of all forms of violence that threatens freedom of expression. Healthy societies consist of strong governments and civil institutions that protect citizens. Ending all forms of violence enables individuals to exist without fear of discrimination, exposure to corrupt policies or further suffering from civil unrest. Functioning justice systems, access to legal recourse and support for vulnerable
individuals requires strong political and legal systems. National and local institutions are responsible for providing basic services. These bodies must also be held accountable to eliminate corruption and bribery guaranteeing equal access for everyone.
