Guterres highlights the link between peace and sustainable development
Highlighting the interconnectedness of sustainable developmentand peace, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres addressed the UN General Assembly high-level dialogue. During the address, he emphasized the links between inequality, conflict, and climate change. Mr. Guterres also stated that preventing threats ranging from natural disasters, poverty, and other global challenges require inclusive andsustainable development initiatives. He informed the assembly that the two biggest challenges confronting economic development include education and youth unemployment.
