‘Invest in the future’ green business key to fighting climate change

At the one planet summit in Paris, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated the need to advance investments in renewable energy and green business. He emphasized that renewable sources of energy are more affordable than traditional fossil fuels. Mr. Guterres outlined the need to boost investment in green business that promote the environment and create new opportunities for employment. He also reiterated that developed countries must provide support and resources to the developing world through instruments such as the  Green Climate Fund .
