Digital safety for kids, increase online access to help disadvantaged
Protecting children from emerging risks associated with a rapid increase in the advancement of digital technologies remains a strict priority according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in a newly released report. Balancing the need for equal online access to information, preventing the most disadvantaged from being left behind, and promoting safe and healthy use of the Internet faces rising threats associated with the exploitation of children including trafficking, sexual abuse and the gap in understanding privacy concerns and general misuse parameters.
