More action needed to meet energy goals by 2030, new report finds

New data warns world leaders to take more focused, urgent action on access to energy and meet 2030 Sustainable Development Goal

A number of energy goals and challenges are threatening universal access to clean, affordable energy by 2030 in a Global Tracking Framework (GTF) report by the World Bank and the International Energy Agency. Enhanced policy initiatives, greater investment and new technology adoption are essential for reaching targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) . The report measures the progress in electrification and clean cooking, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
