Science & technology can tackle key sustainable development challenges
On the anniversary of World Science Day for Peace and Development , the importance of integrated science is necessary for overcoming sustainable development challenges in support of oceans, climate change, and water management. Speaking at the event, Irina Bokova, Director-General of theUN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization( UNESCO ), outlined the United Nations cultural agency’s approach in assembling multidisciplinary networks to meet global sustainability goals. In addition to scientific cooperation, investment in science curriculum and increased enrollment is important for all persons, especially girls.
