Access to clean & modern energy, poorer countries focus on innovation
The world’s least developed countries require rapid deployment of modern energy with utility-scale renewable energy sources for power grid enhancement. Technological innovation is necessary for strengthening the energy capacity in an array of different environments. In a recent United Nations report on the world’s forty-seven Least Developed Countries (LDCs), only four of forty-seven nations are on course to reach agreed targets by 2030. Solar and wind power are promising sources of renewable energy for enhancing rural electrification. Presently, current renewable energy levels are insufficient for accomplishing the UN Sustainable Development Goals(UNSDGs).
